Beginning Guitar for Adults
Beatles, Johnny Cash, Jack Johnson and Dylan are always popular in this class. Along with the
basics (tuning, guitar maintenance, chords, common chord progressions and strum patterns) – we
will explore basic reading and music theory to play songs of various styles. We will also cover
good practice procedures, ensemble playing and ear training. Please bring an acoustic, classical,
or electric (with small amp) guitar, a pick and a pencil to each class.
Beginning Guitar for Adults currently takes place on the campus of the University of Washington.
